Daim Candy

Makes: 75 x 1-inch (2,5 cm) candies

Daim candy is one of the most beloved chocolate bars in Sweden—and a total Nordic classic! If you’ve never had one before, it’s basically a crunchy almond toffee coated in milk chocolate. Think buttery, caramelized, nutty goodness wrapped in smooth chocolate. So simple, yet so addictive.

You can enjoy this homemade version just as it is, or go all in and brush the pieces with melted milk chocolate—just like the store-bought Daim bars you’ll find at IKEA. That said, you definitely don’t need the chocolate coating to satisfy your sweet tooth. This candy is delicious on its own!

The recipe includes a little bit of finely ground almonds, which adds that extra something special—that “it” factor that makes Daim candy stand out. You can leave it out if you prefer, but the almonds do add a subtle depth that’s really lovely.

Daim is amazing chopped into cakes, cookies, or ice cream. I personally love to crush it up and fold it into my Daim Ice Cream Cake—my all-time favorite frozen dessert. You can find that recipe in the Ice Cream category in my app!
