Soft Bakery Buns – Just Like from My Favorite Dutch Bakery
Back in the day, I lived in the Netherlands for a while, and right across from where I stayed, there was a small bakery that sold the softest, fluffiest buns—just like these!

They were sold in packs of six, and what made them extra special was how they stayed incredibly soft for days. The bakery also had a version filled with diplomat cream, which is a combination of pastry cream (crème pâtissière) and whipped cream, making it extra smooth and airy.
The buns were then lightly dusted with powdered sugar—such a simple yet irresistible treat!

I tried to recreate that same softness and fluffiness in these homemade bakery buns, just as I remember from back in the day. They are so light and airy, almost pull-apart soft, with a texture that’s just incredible.
You can slice them open and enjoy them with a little homemade jam, a slather of butter, or even Nutella if that’s your thing! However you choose to enjoy them, these buns are simply the best—soft, fluffy, and unbelievably delicious.

If you love classic bakery-style buns, you need to try these. They are pure comfort and nostalgia in every bite!
