Sour Cream Chocolate Cake
Sour cream is known for making cakes exceptionally moist, and this Sour Cream Chocolate Cake is no exception. It stays soft, fluffy, and delicious for days, all thanks to the richness of sour cream, which keeps it incredibly tender.

For extra depth of flavor, I add strongly brewed coffee or espresso. Even if you’re not a coffee lover, trust me on this one—the coffee enhances the chocolate flavor without making the cake taste like coffee. It simply brings out the deep, rich cocoa notes, making every bite even more indulgent.

This cake bakes up like a dream—it’s fluffy, ultra-moist, and deeply chocolatey. You can top it with anything you love, but I personally think it pairs perfectly with a silky chocolate buttercream or Swiss meringue frosting.
I bake this cake in two 23 cm (9-inch) round pans, and it always turns out perfectly soft and decadent. I hope you love it as much as I do!
